Porsche 912 - 1965 LHD Restored Classic Car For sale is my stunning Porsche 912 in Ivory White, which is an early ‘3 gauge’ SWB, with the more desirable and usable 5-speed gearbox. Originally registered in California in January 1966, to Dr Adamson, a lecturer at Berkeley University. It was exported to Mallorca in 2012. In 2016, it was purchased by a Brit, and commissioned for restoration by a Porsche specialist in Mallorca, before being brought to the UK in 2018 (photos of the restoration are present with the paperwork). I purchased this car in 2025, and being an ex-Porsche employee with this being my 5th Porsche, I wanted to ensure I got a solid example. I spent the winter carrying out some further maintenance, and making it ‘my own’. Recent work includes: - Rennline wheel studs (longer and have that racing car look) - New front discs - Oil and filter (Porsche supplied Classic oil) - New Weber IDF 40 Carbs - New Bosch Ignition Coil - NGK Spark plugs - New HT leads - Fuel filter - Fuel pump rebuild - Valve Clearances checked I bought the car with some 15"x5" Fuchs style wheels, which I removed (will be included in the sale - you can see the spare in the front tub) and fitted some 15” x 6” Minilites, which I had freshly refurbished in Silver, and fitted brand new Toyo tyres all around. The car has a 1720cc kit fitted, giving it more power. If you know about the 912, you know it’s arguably a better car to drive than the 911, due to the lower-weight engine. With the extra power from the 1720cc engine, you get the best of both worlds, power and weight saving. The interior was refreshed during the restoration, and has very comfortable black leather and brown corduroy bucket seats. Mechanically, the car requires no work and it is ready for you to get in it and drive. Cosmetically, the car has a few minor marks, but nothing major. For example the two little holes in the lower front bumper, where the number plate brackets were (I still have the brackets). The car is a very solid, clean example. I have plenty of paperwork with the car, which includes the original registration in the US, the import to Mallorca and the restoration and maintenance.
